Cleaning without leaving a water stain?

I use just a wet rag or wet rag and a small amount of detergent to clean small (no more than quarter sized) messes off of my couch. And the mess which is usually baby spit up, a toddler’s messy finger prints, etc.. always comes up… but then I am left with a big water stain once in dries..
What would be better for me to use?
Any "miracle" products out there what would be better for me to spot clean my couch with?

The couch is tan and a micro-fiber like material if that matters.

Thanks!!

Here are a couple hints. Clean the entire couch with a non-residue product like Folex Upholstery Cleaner on a dampened terry towel. Pay particular attention to the rings you already have from water damage. Folex will not leave a residue that will attract dust or dirt which turns into mystery stains later. Once you have all of the upholstery cleaned, invest in a can of Scotchguard and spray all of the surfaces of your couch lightly. Remember several light coats are better than one heavy coat. Once you have provided a protective coating to your upholstery, toddler messes can be blotted up quickly with a dampened terry towel and will no longer leave water rings on the micro-fiber.
